Kevin Ritz, a former student equipment manager, begins his second season at the University of Maine. Ritz returned to Orono to work with the men’s and women’s ice hockey team during the 2011-2012 season, serving as the head equipment manager for both squads. 

Beginning during the 2008–09 season, Ritz worked with the Maine women’s ice hockey team. He then spent the 2009 season at Sacred Heart University where he worked with both the men’s and women’s ice hockey teams. 

During the 2010-2011 season, Ritz worked with the women’s ice hockey team at Syracuse University, where the team reached the CHA Championship. 

A native of East Greenbush, N.Y., Ritz is a member of the Society of Professional Hockey Equipment Managers.
