Maine Athletics Partners With Hero's For Coaches Huddles Fundraisers

Here's a great chance to meet Maine coaches, enjoy a meal, and support the Black Bears. Hero's Family Sports Grill, located on the Odlin Road in Bangor, has partnered with University of Maine Athletics for Coaches' Huddles throughout the school year.

Fans are invited to come there for a meal and 20 percent of the proceeds will come back to that program. Hero's will put together a special $15 buffet for fans who will have a chance to meet the coach.

The schedule begins with Head Women's Soccer Coach Scott Atherley on Monday Sept. 13. Here is a schedule for the fall:

Sept. 27    Head Football Coach Jack Cosgrove

Oct. 11     Head Women's Hockey Coach Maria Lewis

Oct. 25     Head Field Hockey Coach Josette Babineau

Nov. 9      Head Men's Hockey Coach Tim Whitehead

Dates are not yet finalized for other winter and spring sports coaches. Cross country will participate with track in the late winter/spring.
