Jean Stevens Jean Stevens (Albany, Ore.) had a solid opening weekend for the Black Bears' softball team. The sophomore went 6-for-12 with two home runs and a double while driving in a pair. Stevens also drew three walks and scored a pair of runs.
Matt Mangene
Matt Mangene Matt Mangene (Miller Place, N.Y.) had two goals and two assists as the men's ice hockey team recorded a weekend split. He had a goal and two assists on Friday against Providence. Mangene then scored the game-winning goal on Saturday in Maine's 2-1 win over #7 UMass Lowell. With Maine's win the River Hawks, Maine moved to a tie for seventh place in the Pairwise rankings.
