HEADING INTO 2012: Will see time as a pitcher, designated hitter and behind the plate... has a strong left-handed bat. 

2011: Appeared in 45 games last year, starting 39 of them…batted .244 with 33 hits... belted five home runs... hit home runs in back to back games (3/5-3/6)... went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a pair of doubles against Penn (3/7)... recorded a six-game hit streak (3/9-3/19), blasting a home run in the last game of that streak against Rider…hit a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning against Northeastern (5/10)... Also belted a home run in Maine’s next games against Hartford (5/14)... finished the game against the Hawks batting 2-for-2 with four runs scored and two RBI. 

2010: Sat out the season as a redshirt. 

BEFORE MAINE: Played baseball at Westborough High School for coach Scott Kittridge... team captain in 2008 and 2009... hit a school-record 10 home runs... two-time team MVP... league MVP in 2009... team was league champions twice... named  a Metro West Daily News All-Star in 2009... named to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette All-Star team in 2009... also played soccer and basketball in high school... born Dec. 1, 1990... son of Francis and Susan Whitten... a mechanical engineering major.
