HEADING INTO 2008: Expected to start at second base for the Black Bears... played for the North Adams Steeplecats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2007... named a UMaine Scholar-Athlete Award winner. 2007: Had a solid sophomore campaign for the Black Bears... named America East Player of the Week (3/5) and (4/17)... also earned a spot on the College Baseball Foundation National Honor Roll in each of those weeks... hit .276 with 25 runs scored and 30 RBI... had nine doubles and a pair of home runs... finished the season recording hits in 11 of the last 12 games... was 3-for-4 in the season-opener against Penn (3/3) with two runs scored and two RBI... was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI in Maine's game at NYIT (3/25) where he belted his first career home run... was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three RBI in Maine's 12-1 win over UMBC (4/13)... followed that up by going 3-for-4 with two runs scored against UMBC in the second game of the doubleheader... was 3-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI against Hartford (5/13)... homered against Binghamton (5/21)... named to the America East Academic Honor Roll. 2006: Saw action in 55 games for the Black Bears, starting 53 at second base... named America East Rookie of the Week on April 24 after batting .429 with four runs scored and three RBI as Maine took two of three games against N.Y.I.T... batted .297 with 33 runs scored and 29 RBI... had eight doubles and two triples... stole nine bases on the season... was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI in Maine's 26-15 win over Maryland Eastern Shore (4/1)... was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI in Maine's 20-4 win over Hartford (5/13)... ended the season on a six-game hitting streak, including hits in all three games of the America East Tournament and both NCAA regional games.
