Justin Edwards Named Rookie of the Week for Fifth Time

ORONO, Maine – University of Maine men's basketball standout Justin Edwards has been named the America East Rookie of the Week for the fifth time.

Edwards, a freshman guard from Whitby, Ontario, averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in two games last week for the Black Bears.

He notched his first career double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists against defending league champion Boston University and followed it up with 19 points and five rebounds at Albany.

Edwards is among the league leaders in points, rebounds, assists and steals.
