McLemore and Fraser Named to CollegeHoops.net All-America East Team
ORONO, Maine – University of Maine men's basketball standouts Gerald McLemore and Alasdair Fraser have been named to the five-player CollegeHoops.net All-America East Team.
McLemore, a senior guard from San Diego, Calif., led the team and was third in America East with 17.0 points per game. His 92.4 percent from the charity stripe led the league while his 2.7 three-pointers per game ranked second. McLemore also set the school record for three-pointers in a career and currently has 323.
Fraser, a sophomore forward from Falkirk, Scotland, ranks 12th in America East with 13.0 points per game and is third with 7.8 rebounds per game. His 54.2 percent shooting from the field ranks fifth in the conference while his 1.4 blocks per game put him third.
The Black Bears continue play on Saturday against Vermont in the America East Tournament. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at the University of Hartford.
