Men's Basketball Signs Till Gloger
ORONO, Maine – University of Maine men's basketball head coach Ted Woodward has announced the signing of Till Gloger to a National Letter of Intent to attend the University in the fall and play for the men's basketball team.
"We are very excited about Till signing with our program," said Woodward. "He has been a top recruit of ours all year long in the frontcourt. He has been a highly productive player in both points and rebounds from the forward spot, he provides us with size in the frontcourt, he has a great understanding and feel for the game, and he is a wonderful young man with tremendous energy and great development potential."
Gloger, a 6-8, 200 lbs. forward from Bochum, Germany, currently plays for the Paderborn Baskets in the German Under-19 NBBL. He leads the league with 25.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game. An NBBL All-Star, he also leads the league by far in efficiency rating ((points + rebounds + assists + steals + blocks) - ((field goals attempted – field goals made) + (free throws attempted – free throws made) + turnovers)) / games played)). Gloger has led his Paderborn team into the playoffs this season and they are a best-of-three series away from advancing to the semi-finals. He is also a candidate for the German Under-20 National Team.
The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to the University of Maine and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
