Men's Basketball Travels to Holy Cross for Wednesday Evening Game

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's basketball team travels to take on the Holy Cross Crusaders in a Wednesday evening contest. Fans can catch all the action on the Black Bear Sports Network.

The University of Maine men's basketball team (0-1) plays its second-consecutive road game to open the season at Holy Cross (2-1).

The Black Bears are coming off a 67-54 loss at Dartmouth.

Senior forward Mike Allison led the Black Bears with 17 points and 11 rebounds while Justin Edwards scored 12 points and Xavier Pollard added 10.

Holy Cross is coming off a win against Morgan State 74-73.

Dave Dudzinski notched a game-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Crusaders.

Last season in Orono, Maine outscored Holy Cross 41-29 in the second half en route to a 72-60 win.

Edwards had 22 points and seven rebounds while Alasdair Fraser scored 12 points for the Black Bears in the win.

The Black Bears return three starters in 2011-12 All-Conference players Mike Allison (All-Defensive), Alasdair Fraser (Third Team) and Justin Edwards (All-Rookie).

Fraser was named to the America East and College Sports Madness Preseason All-Conference First Teams while Edwards (CSM First Team) and Allison (CSM Second Team) also garnered honors.
