Justin Edwards Named America East Player of the Week

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine men's basketball standout Justin Edwards has been named the America East Player of the Week.

Edwards, a sophomore guard from Whitby, Ontario, scored 27 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, gave out five assists and had three steals to lead Maine to an 84-78 win over Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday.

It is the second weekly honor of the year for Edwards, who currently leads the conference in scoring with 17.9 points per game.

Maine continues its season on Dec. 29 at Quinnipiac.
