Men's Basketball Travels to Binghamton

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's basketball team travels to take on the Binghamton Bearcats on Saturday at 7 p.m. Fans can catch all the action on the Black Bear Sports Network.

Storylines

The University of Maine men's basketball team (10-15, 5-7) travels to take on the Binghamton Bearcats (3-22, 1-11).

The Black Bears are coming off a 66-64 win over Hartford.

Maine was led by Justin Edwards with 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists while Zarko Valjarevic added 17 points

Binghamton is coming off a 73-47 loss to first-place Stony Brook.

Jordan Reed led the Bearcats with 14 points and 10 rebounds while JImmy Gray and Javon Ralling added 10 points each.

Binghamton defeated Maine earlier this season on a buzzer-beater by the score of 57-56.

Edwards had 12 points and six rebounds while Xavier Pollard had six points and seven assists.

Maine's Mike Allison currently has 124 blocks which put him fifth in program history, and also has 479 rebounds; should he grab 500 rebounds he would be just the second player in program history to notch 500 rebounds and 100 blocks (Jeff Cross, 1981-84).

Zarko Valjarevic is looking for his sixth double-digit scoring effort in the last eight games.

Maine has won the last three games that Edwards has led the team in scoring.
