ORONO, Maine -- Registration is now open for University of Maine men's basketball summer camps. The four-day event will run June 22-26. These camps are aimed at youth from ages 8-to-14.
The goal of this year's camp is to help all attendees to improve their skills by learning and practicing the fundamentals of basketball. The Maine basketball coaching staff will help those in attendance to learn the techniques necessary to improve their game, and provide lots of competition, fun, games and instruction.
Campers will be put into small, age-appropriate groups and coaches will utilize station-work to improve different facets of their game.
The Black Bears offer three registration types including day camp ($195), overnight camp ($395) and commuter camp ($335).
Campers are expected to bring workout gear including basketball shoes, t-shirt etc., as well as casual clothes for activities outside of the gym. For those staying overnight the camper is expected to bring sleeping bag/sheets along with pillow and toiletries. The University will provide meals.
