ORONO, Maine – University of Maine men's basketball head coach Bob Walsh announced that he and his coaching staff will hold a one-day elite camp called "Bob Walsh's Black Bear Training Day," which will give campers an inside look at what it's like as to be a part of the Black Bear basketball program. The event will take place on Aug. 23 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Maine campus in Orono, Maine.
Campers will participate in Maine practice activities, receive instruction from Walsh and his coaching staff and play games against tough competition.
The camp will provide reversible Maine practice jerseys, and a University of Maine shoe bag, while campers are asked to bring their athletic gear (gym shorts, shoes, shirt and socks) and spending money for drinks and snacks throughout the day.
The event will start with registration beginning at 12:30 p.m., with the camp intro starting at 1 p.m. The campers will go through skill-work and stations, followed by playing games, and a camp lecture at 4 p.m. More games will conclude the instruction.
For those interested, camp registration will be posted later along with more information. For any questions you can contact assistant coach Zak Boisvert (firstname.lastname@example.org)
