McMillian and Coston Named All-American

ORONO, Maine—University of Maine football defensive backs Jerron McMillian and Trevor Coston have been named to the 2011 Phil Steele All-American Teams. McMillian was a Second Team selection while Coston was named to the Fourth Team.

McMillian, a senior from Hillside, N.J., was an All-CAA First Team selection as well as an All-New England honoree. He was second on the team and fifth in the CAA among defensive backs with 92 tackles, including 11.5 tackles-for-loss. McMillian also had five pass break ups and an interception.

Coston, a senior from Greenlawn, N.Y., was a First Team All-CAA selection as a punt returner and Second Team selection at safety. He was tied for first in the CAA and ranked seventh nationally with six interceptions and also ranked third in the league with nine pass break ups. Coston was third on the team with 83 tackles.

Maine had a memorable season, finishing second in the CAA and advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the third time in school history.
