Football Holds First Spring Scrimmage

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine football team held its first scrimmage of the spring today at Alfond Stadium.

Among the highlights were: Rickey Stevens (Rochester, N.Y.) capping off a drive with a three-yard touchdown plunge; Axel Ofori (Gaithersburg, Md.) intercepting a deep pass; John Ebeling (Mahwah, N.J.) making a nice catch from Marcus Wasilewski (Kulpmont, Pa.); and Troy Eastman (Rahway, N.J.) making an interception to finish off the scrimmage.

The Black Bears return to practice on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m.
