Football Travels to William & Mary

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine football team heads down to Virginia to take on William & Mary in the Tribe's Homecoming game on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Fans can catch all the action on the Black Bear Sports Network.

Storylines

The University of Maine football team (2-5, 1-2) travels to take on William and Mary (2-5, 1-2).
Maine is coming off a 28-21 loss to rival New Hampshire.
TE Justin Perillo made seven catches for 68 yards and two scores while LB Donte Dennis notched 10 tackles including a sack and a fumble recovery.
The Tribe is coming off a bye week, and lost a heartbreaker to James Madison, 27-26 two weeks ago, and now has four of its have losses by three points or less.
QB Raphael Ortiz accounted for 177 yards and a score in the air and 54 yards and two scores on the ground to lead the Tribe; Jerome Couplin had 10 tackles and an interception to lead the defense.
Maine LB Donte Dennis currently has 292 career tackles and his 69 tackles this season lead the team and rank second in the CAA; Dennis is on track to be the first Black Bear to lead the team in tackles for three seasons since former great Stephen Cooper from 2000-02.
The last time the two teams played in 2010 in Orono, the Tribe scored with 20 seconds left to take the contest 24-21; Dennis notched eight tackles in the game for Maine and broke up a pass while DL Doug Alston notched five tackles and a sack.
WR Maurice McDonald is 172 yards shy of 15th on the all-time receiving yards list at UMaine.
