Football Cracks the Top-10 in Sports Network Poll; Up to 11th in Coaches Poll

ORONO, Maine -- Coming off a thrilling 37-35 victory at Villanova, the University of Maine football team (7-1, 4-0 CAA) continues to climb in the national polls. The Black Bears are up to 10th nationally in The Sports Network poll while moving up to 11th in the coaches poll.

Maine advances in the poll after winning its fourth-straight game; a 37-35 victory at Villanova in which senior quarterback Marcus Wasilewski (Kulpmont, Pa.) went 28-for-34 for 334-yards and two touchdowns while rushing 20 times for 86-yards and a score. Wasilewski helped Maine outgain Villanova 536 yards to 386 as the Black Bears controlled the game, holding the edge in possession 36:46 to 23:14.
