ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine football standout kicker Sean Decloux (Ottawa, Ontario) and linebacker Christophe Mulumba Tshimanga have earned preseason Beyond Sports Network (BSN) All-America honors. Decloux was named to the BSN preseason All-America second team while Mulumba Tshimanga earned a third team accolade.
Decloux and Mulumba Tshimanga earlier each earned BSN CAA Preseason All-Conference selections.
Decloux was the CAA first team kicker as he set a new school-record with 16 made field goals in 2013. Decloux matched the University of Maine record with 45 made PATs as he went 16-for-21 on field goal attempts, hitting a career-long 42-yard field goal on two occassions.
Mulumba Tshimanga had one of the best defensive rookie seasons in UMaine school history as he was named both the CAA and ECAC Defensive Rookie of the Year. An All-CAA first team selection, Mulumba Tshimanga paced Maine with 118 tackles, fifth most in the league. Named to the FCS All-New England first team, Mulumba Tshimanga also recorded a pair of interceptions to go along with 4.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery in the 2013 campaign.
