Jordan Stevens enters his third season at Maine serving as the assistant defensive Lline coach.
During his first year on the staff, Stevens helped tutor Michael Cole, who led the CAA in sacks and was an All-CAA selection. The line also saw senior Raibonne Charles garner All-Conference honors while Kevin Phanor signed a professsional contract to play in Europe.
Stevens, a former All-CAA defensive end as a Black Bear, returned to the team as a coach for the 2011 season.
Stevens had a tryout with the NFL’s Detroit Lions before signing with the Hartford Colonials of the UFL in 2010.
He was team captain and an All-CAA Third Team and New England Football Writers All-Star Team selection in 2009 after helping lead the team to the NCAA Playoffs in 2008.
Stevens earned his degree in business management from Maine in 2010. He resides in Orono.
