Men's Ice Hockey Travels to Kansas City for 2012 Ice Breaker Tournament
ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's ice hockey team travels to Kansas City, Missouri on Oct. 12 and 13, 2012 for the annual Ice Breaker Tournament which will be held at the Sprint Center. Maine fans living in the area are encouraged to come out and support the Black Bears.
Some of the best teams in the country will be competing in the tournament with Maine, Notre Dame, Nebraska-Omaha and Army scheduled to play for the 2012 title. It was announced recently that Notre Dame will be joining Hockey, so here is a chance to get a sneak peek at a future conference rival.
Maine opens the tournament against Notre Dame on Friday night at 7 PM, 6 PM central time. The Black Bears will play either Nebraska-Omaha or Army the following day.
