Saturday's Maine at New Hampshire Men's Ice Hockey Game to be Featured on NESN
WAKEFIELD, Mass. -- The Hockey East Conference and the New England Sports Network (NESN) announced on Saturday that the game between Maine and New Hampshire will be broadcast live from the Whittemore Center on Saturday, March 9. The puck will drop on the regular season finale at 4 PM. NESN's coverage begins immediately following NESN's postgame coverage of the Philadelphia Flyers at Boston Bruins NHL game.
This is the second season that NESN has had a flex scheduling option, allowing the network to broadcast the best match-ups for the final two weeks of the Hockey East regular season. NESN will broadcast the Providence College at Boston College game next Saturday afternoon.
Tom Caron (play-by-play) and Craig Janney (color analyst) will have the call of the game from Durham, N.H. on the campus of the University of New Hampshire. Hockey East Overtime LIVE will air immediately following the conclusion of the game, featuring studio host Jamison Coyle, as well as analysts Jim Connelly and Donald "Toot" Cahoon.
Maine plays its final home games the weekend of March 1 and 2 at Alfond Arena. Tickets, including some balcony seats, are available for the game, as students will be away for spring break. Fans can call the Maine ticket office or purchase online at www.goblackbearstickets.com(.)
