Maine to Face UMass Lowell in Hockey East Quarterfinals

The University of Maine men's ice hockey team will face #1 UMass Lowell in the Hockey East quarterfinals. The series is the best-of-three games and will start on Thursday, March 14 at Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Mass.

The games will be played Thursday, Friday and Sunday if necessary. 

Maine earned a playoff berth after taking three of four points this past weekend in a series at #4 New Hampshire. UMass Lowell won the league title after defeating Providence 4-1 on Saturday night.
