ORONO, Maine -- Three University of Maine men's ice hockey players are listed on the 2014 Hobey Baker Fan ballot. Ben Hutton (Prescott, Ontario), Martin Ouellette (St.-Hippolyte, Quebec) and Devin Shore (Ajax, Ontario) are listed on the ballot and fans are allowed to vote once per day at

Hutton, a defenseman, ranks third on the team in scoring with nine goals and seven assists for 16 points. His nine goals are tied for the national lead in goals scored by a defenseman. Five of his goals have come via the power play. He ranks tied for 11th in the nation in power play goals and tied for the national lead in power play goals by a defenseman. Hutton is just four goals shy of tying the Maine school record for goals in a season by a defenseman. Dwight Montgomery scored 13 goals in 1979-80 and Jack Capuano tied that in 1987-88 and Jeff Tory in 1994-95.

One of Maine's top penalty killers, Hutton ranks among the team leaders in +/- with a +9. He leads the team in blocked shots with 23. In addition, he has been whistled for just one penalty and has seen action in all 20 games this year.

Ouellette is 10-7-2 on the season with a 1.94 goals against average and a .935 save percentage. He has three shutouts and a pair of assists on the season. Ouellette has started 19 of Maine's 20 games. He ranks tied for second in the nation in shutouts, fifth in save percentage and eighth in goals against average. Just two players in Maine history (Jimmy Howard twice and Frank Doyle) have ever posted a goals against average of under 2.00 in a season.

Ouellette was named to the 2013 Florida College Classic All-Tournament Team and also was named the Hockey East Co-Defensive Player of the Week on Dec. 31, 2013.

Shore leads Maine in scoring with 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points. He ranks 12th in the nation, averaging 1.30 points per game. Shore is tied for the national lead in short-handed goals with three. He has currently tallied at least one point in 11 straight games and in 14 of Maine's last 15.

Shore has been named Hockey East Player of the Week twice this season. He was also named the Hockey East Player of the Month for December. Shore also earned a spot on the 2013 Florida Classic All-Tournament Team.
