ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine men's ice hockey sophomore forward Devin Shore (Ajax, Ontario) was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2013-2014 Men's At-Large First Team on Thursday, May 15. Shore is a sophomore finance major with a nearly perfect grade point average.
He was one of 10 student-athletes named to the first team from the sports of men's ice hockey, lacrosse, skiing, tennis and swimming. Shore was one of just two sophomores named to the squad. Five of the 10 selected were men's ice hockey players.
Shore was named a Second Team All-American in 2014. He also earned a spot on the Hockey East First Team and was named to the New England Hockey Writers All-Star Team.
Shore led the Black Bears in scoring with 14 goals and 29 assists for 43 points. It is the second straight year that he has led the team in scoring. He finished with three power play goals and three short-handed tallies.
By being selected to the All-District First Team, Shore will now be placed on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
