Swimming Competes at Day 2 ECACs

Final Stats

Pittsburgh, PA - The University of Maine men's and women's swimming continued their competition at the ECAC Championships at the University of Pittsburgh Saturday.

Four Black Bears scored points in the evening session Saturday, with Colleen Miller again leading the way for Maine. Miller took home seventh place in the 200 yard freestyle, jumping up one spot from her eighth place seeding, in a time of 1:55.27.

Courtney Healey swam a 1:00.45 in the 100 yard backstroke, giving her an eighth place finish. Caitlin Shelley and Megan McLean finished 12th and 13th respectively in the 100 yard breaststroke. Shelley and McLean will meet again tomorrow in the 200 yard breaststroke.

For the men, Jeremy Bender swam in the 400 yard IM, Kevin Staples in the 200 yard freestyle, and Tyler Isherwood in the 100 yard backstroke.
