Swimming Wraps Up at ECAC Championships

Pittsburgh, PA - The University of Maine men's and women's swimming finished their season at the ECAC Championships at the University of Pittsburgh Sunday.

Kerstin Fenton led the way for the Black Bears Sunday, finishing sixth overall in the women's 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:28.82. Her teammate Megan McLean also swam the 200 breaststroke, landing in 14th overall at 2:31.31. Courtney Healey placed 11th in the 200 yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:09.63.

In the 400 yard freestyle relay, Fenton teamed up with Colleen Miller, Caitlin Shelley, and Mackenzie Grobmyer, finishing with a tenth place finishing in 3:41.77.

On the men's side, Kevin Staples competed in the 100 yard freestyle and Jeremy Bender swam in the 200 yard butterfly. Staples and Bender, along with Jamie Young and Tyler Isherwood took 14th overall in the men's 400 yard relay.
