Swimming and Diving Announce Captains for 2012-13 Campaign

ORONO, Maine -- Head Swimming and Diving Coach Susan Lizzotte has announced that Carmen Linden (Ottawa, Ontario), Yuri Chornobil (Rochester, N.Y.) and Brent Williams (Clifton, Maine) will serve as captains for the 2012-13 season.

Linden and Chornobil will each be seniors next season while Williams will be a junior captain. Linden, who was recently named to the 2012 America East All-Academic team, placed eighth in the 1650 yard freestyle, 15th in the 500-yard freestyle and was a member of the sixth place 800-yard freestyle relay team that set a new school-record at this year's America East Championships.

Chornobil placed fifth overall while setting a new school-record in 1650 freestyle event at this year's America East Championships and was also 13th in the 200-yard freestyle. Chornobil also helped the men's 800-yard freestyle relay team to a fourth place finish.

Williams also had a solid showing at this year's Championships as he placed 13th in the 1650-yard freestyle, 15th in the 400-yard IM and was 21st in the 500-yard freestyle event.
