Capossela; Wibby Named America East Divers of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- A pair of University of Maine divers have been honored as America East Diver's of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Juniors Kara Capossela (Greenwich, Conn.) and Travis Wibby (South Portland, Maine) were each honored with the awards following the Black Bears' first meet of the season.

Capossela led the women's team on the diving boards as she won the three-meter event with a final score of 249.15 and placed second in the one-meter dive at 246.29.

Wibby was the Maine men's leader on the boards as his pair of second place finishes helped lead Maine to a victory at Rhode Island. Wibby placed second in both the one-meter (224.85) and the three-meter (190.42).

The Black Bears return to action on Thursday, Nov. 1 when they travel to face Bryant University in a 5 PM meet.
