Justin Gagne Leads Men's Track on Day Two of IC4A Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Justin Gagne (Biddeford, Maine) took fifth in the discus to lead the University of Maine men's track and field team on day two of the IC4A Championships.

Gagne, the school-record holder in the event, had a throw of 169-00 to notch the top-5 finish. His mark also ranks among the top-3 in school history.

Wilson Adams (Barrington, R.I.) also scored points, taking eighth in the hammer throw with a mark of 179-05, a top-7 school mark. 

Ethan Moore (Weare, N.H.) also competed in the hammer, and took 11th with 176-04, a top-10 school mark. 

Frank Del Duca (Bethel, Maine) took 41st in the 100-meter prelims with a time of 11.06 while Jake Leithiser (Old Town, Maine) notched a top-5 school time in the 400 with 48.90 to take 32nd in the prelims.

The 4X100 relay team of August Ibekilo (Saco, Maine), Leithiser, Daniel Roukey (Westbrook, Maine) and Del Duca was 18th in the prelims with a time of 42.11.

The IC4A Championships conclude tomorrow.
