Justin Gagne Named America East Field Performer of the Week

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine men's track and field standout Justin Gagne has been named the America East Field Performer of the Week.

Gagne, a senior from Biddeford, Maine, won the shot put against Holy Cross with a throw of 59-05.00. The throw broke his own school record and easily qualifies him for the IC4A Championships. The mark ranks him 26th in the NCAA and tops in America East.

The track and field teams return to action this Saturday at the Valentine's Invitational and the America East Championships on Monday and Tuesday.
