ORONO, MAINE – Alexander Moser (York Harbor, Maine) and James Reed (Garmisch, Germany) both qualified for the next round in their respective events to lead the University of Maine men's track and field team on day two at the IC4A Championships hosted by Boston University.
Moser placed seventh in the prelims of the mile run with a time of 4:07.37, which ranks as a top-5 school time. He advances to Sunday's finals.
Reed ran the 60-meter hurdles in a top-3 school time of 8.08, which put him fourth in the prelims and advances to Sunday's semi-final round. Should he qualify, he would then run in the finals on Sunday as well.
Kelton Cullenberg (Chesterville, Maine) ran in the 5,000 and placed 16th with a time of 14:33.00, which ranks second all-time at Maine.
The IC4A Championships conclude Sunday.
