Reed Breaks School Record At Boston University Last Chance Meet

BOSTON, Mass. – In the third day in a row, members of the Maine men's track and field competed in a meet held at Boston University as both James Reed and Kelton Cullenberg competed at the Last Chance meet on Sunday afternoon. Reed highlighted the day as he broke his own school record in the 60-meter hurdle event. 

Cullenberg competed in the 3,000-meter run coming in with a time of 8:17.06, a little over three seconds off the pace of Maine record-holder of Riley Masters who clocked in at 8:15.15.

Reed first advanced to the final round with a second-place finish in the prelims with a time 7.99. In final round of the 60m hurdles Reed broke his own school record by coming in with a mark of 7.94, 0.01 second faster than his previous best, to take second place in the event.

The Black Bears indoor schedule is winding down with the ECAC/IC4A Championships, hosted by BU, next up and is scheduled for March 6-8.
