CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Senior Jumper, Nathaniel Meade, concluded his Maine track and field career on Friday afternoon as he took part in the triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Regional in Jacksonville, Fla., hosted by the University of Northern Florida. Meade wrapped up the season with a 33rd-place showing in the triple jump.

The Waldoboro, Maine native finished the event with a final jump of 14.77m (48-5.25). For the second-consecutive event in which a Maine athlete competed, an athlete from Florida bested the field. Marquis Dendy topped all entrants with a jump of 16.32m (53-6.5).

Maine has one more event this weekend as Justin Gagne competes in his second and final event of the meet, competing in arguably his best event, taking part in the discus on Saturday at noon. Check back to GoBlackBears.com for an update.
