Phillips and Cullenberg Named to All-Academic Team
ORONO, Maine -- Two Black Bears from the University of Maine's Cross Country team have been named to the America East Cross Country All-Academic Team; junior Taylor Phillips (Brookfield, Conn.) and sophomore Kelton Cullenberg (Farmington, Maine). Phillips and Cullenberg are both first time recipients of the award.
In order to be named to the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve for their team and must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions. They also have to maintain at least a 3.30 GPA and must have completed at least one calendar year at their institution. Athletes must then be nominated by the school and then voted upon by representatives from all nine America East institutions.
