Cullenberg Leads The Black Bears to Victory
Orono, Maine – The University of Maine men's cross country team placed first in the 5 mile run this afternoon in Orono, Maine. Kelton Cullenberg (Chesterville, Maine) placed first overall for the men as he posted a time of 25:21.6.
The Black Bears finished the top three runners of the day. Ryan Hardiman (Brookfield, Conn.) came across at 25:42.4 and Taylor Phillips (Brookline, Mass.) came in at third with a time of 25:45.4. Maine won a close race, with a score advantage of 29-30.
Maine had only eight runners compete today with an overall time of 2:10:12.10 and an average time of 26:02.42.
The Black Bears will compete again on October 7 at the New England Championships in Westfield, Mass. The race is scheduled to begin at 12:00 P.M.
