Women's Basketball Summer Camps Now Accepting Applicants!
ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team has begun accepting applications for its two camps, brought to you by Dunkin Donuts, that it will be offering this summer. The Black Bears will be putting on two separate camps, an individual youth camp and a team camp, starting at the end of June.
Team Camp will be first up and will run from June 22 at 4 PM through June 24, ending at 11 aM. All High School and AAU teams are invited to participate. This camp is new this season and is a perfect way to kick off your team's summer basketball preparation. Registration for a team will be $400 with housing and dining options offered as well. Teams that would like to attend a portion of the team camp, as well as those interested in attending for the full camp, are asked to please contact assistant coach Amy Vachon either by email at amy.vachon@umit.maine.edu or by phone at (207) 581-3094.
The final camp will take place on July 16-19 and is a youth camp for ages 9-18. The youth camp is open to any all student-athletes no matter if you are an experienced player or someone who wants to learn the skills and techniques of basketball for the first time. This camp will consist of learning basic skill sets along with the opportunity to play games, learn fundamentals and participate in drills all while having some fun! Pricing for the youth camp is $370 for overnight and $300 for commuters with each day ending at 8 PM.
