Liz Wood Collects Third-Straight America East Rookie of the Week Award

ORONO, Maine -- Freshman women's basketball student-athlete Liz Wood (Catlett, Va.) has been named America East Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Wood, who earned her third-straight and fifth overall award, averaged 15.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game.

Wood, who scored in double-figures for the fifth and sixth-straight games, began her award winning week with 12 points, three rebounds and two steals at New Hampshire. The freshman followed that up with her fourth double-double of the season on 19 points and a career-high 11 rebounds to go along with four assists against UMBC. Wood shot 41.2% from the floor over the week while going 40% from three-point range.
