Annabelle Hamilton Named America East Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Field Hockey standout Annabelle Hamilton (North Vancouver, British Columbia) has been named this week's America East Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Hamilton tallied her first career hat-trick on Friday evening to help Maine to its fifth-straight win; a 5-3 decision over Quinnipiac.

Hamilton's first two goals came just 1:25 apart as she helped Maine jump out to an early 3-0 lead. The sophomore midfielder followed up her two early goals with an insurance goal with just 3:33 remaining in the contest. Hamilton currently leads the Black Bears with seven goals on the season.

The Black Bears return to action on Saturday, Sept. 29 when they open up conference play at Vermont. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
