ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine field hockey complex will have a new feel this season with the addition of several branded wind screens.
"It is always refreshing to see a group of people join forces to make UMaine a better place," said Associate Athletic Director for Development Seth Woodcock. "This grassroots effort led by several field hockey parents and supporters has given our field hockey field a new look and feel. A big "Thank You" to all of those who contributed to make the new windscreens a reality!"
"A big thank you to our parents and friends for their donations and support in taking on this project for our program," said head coach Josette Babineau. "In addition to enclosing our playing facility, it enhances the look and atmosphere of the field as well as adds a sense of Maine pride with the colors and logos."
The Black Bears are set to play their first home game on Sept. 20 when they host Bryant at 2 PM.
