Pellerin and Varin-Tremblay Named to America East All-Rookie Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- University of Maine women's soccer freshmen Jordan Pellerin (Waterville, Maine/Waterville) and Camille Varin-Tremblay (St.-Hubert, Quebec/Shattuck-St. Mary's) were both named to the America East All-Rookie Team as announced on Wednesday afternoon by America East.

Pellerin saw action in all 15 games for the Black Bears, earning four starts. She led the team in assists with four. She earned her first career assist in Maine's game at Sacred Heart. Pellerin then assisted on the game-winning goal in Maine's 1-0 victory over Rhode Island. She also tallied assists in games against Vermont and Albany. Pellerin was named America East Rookie of the Week on Monday, Sept. 12.

Varin-Tremblay was one of six players and the lone freshman to start all 15 games this season for the Black Bears. She had three assists on the season, all coming in Maine's 6-0 win over Stony Brook. She assisted on all three goals scored by Christine Dubuc (Blainville, Quebec).
