Women's Soccer Falls to the Terriers 2-0

Boston, Mass. – The University of Maine women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Boston University on Thursday night in Boston, Mass. The Black Bears fall to 5-4-1 and 1-1-0 in America East play while the Terriers improve to 6-5-1 on the season, 2-0-0 in conference play.

The first half of play went scoreless as the Terriers held a 5-1 shot advantage over the Black Bears.

Boston University took the 1-0 lead at the 67-minute mark as Kylie Strom netted a one timer from 15 yards out off the Erin Mullen assist. The Terriers would score just one minute later off a corner kick by Madison Clemens, assist from Jessica Morrow.

Liis Emajoe (Tallinn, Estonia) registered the only shot on goal for the Black Bears as the fought all game to keep the ball in the offensive zone.

Lauren Swant (Oakville, Ontario) saw her record fall to 5-3-1 on the season as she had two goals against while saving three shots.

Andrea Green picked up her fifth win of the season with one save on the night.

The Terries held a 8-1 shot edge over the Black Bears.

Maine returns to action on Sunday September 30 when it travels to UMBC. Game time is slated for 1:00 PM.
