Black Bears Square Off Against the Seawolves in Semifinal Game
Orono, Maine – The University of Maine women's soccer team has been preparing all week, as they get ready to host Stony Brook for an America East Semifinal game on Sunday, October 28 at 1:00 PM. The Black Bears earned a first round bye with the second seed.
Quarterfinal play took place Thursday afternoon as Stony Brook squared off against New Hampshire and Vermont was the host to Albany. Stony Brook took a 2-1 decision while Vermont advances on penalty kicks, 3-2.
The first 500 University of Maine students will get free admission to the game. Admission is $2 for students with a valid America East student ID, $5 for youth 14 and under and $8 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Black Bears as they seek a berth in the 2012 America East Title game. If Maine advances, it will be the second America East title game for the team in the past three years.
