Stevens, Fogel Named to America East Softball All-Conference Teams

Junior third baseman Jean Stevens (Albany, Ore.) and sophomore catcher EmJ Fogel (Vienna, Va.) have each been named All-Conference in softball as announced by the America East Conference on Tuesday afternoon. Stevens was named to the All-America East first team at third base while Fogel was the second team representative at catcher.

University of Maine softball standouts EmJ Fogel (Vienna, Va.) and Jean Stevens (Albany, Ore.) have been selected to the 2013 College Sports Madness All-Conference teams, as announced by the organization on Wednesday morning. Fogel was named to the first team as the utility player while Stevens earned second team honors in the infield.
Softball Closes Out Season with 4-3 Loss in 11-Innings to Hartford

The University of Maine softball team closed out its 2013 season with a heartbreaking 4-3 loss in 11-innings to visiting Hartford on Sunday afternoon. Senior Jenny MacDowell (Littleton, Mass.) went 1-for-5 with an RBI while Nikki Byron (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.) went 1-for-4 and drove a run.
Softball Splits Doubleheader with Hartford

The University of Maine softball team (8-39, 4-13 America East) split a doubleheader with visiting Hartford (20-32, 10-8 AE), dropping game one 4-0 before shutting out the Hawks by a score of 4-0 in game two. Hannah Hill (Fryeburg, Maine) tossed a one-hit shutout in game two while EmJ Fogel (Vienna, Va.) went 3-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI.
