Labreck Continues Winning Ways Against Holy Cross
ORONO, Maine – Jesse Labreck continued to dominate this season, winning four events to lead the University of Maine women's track and field team against Holy Cross on Saturday.
The senior from Oakland, Maine, took first in the long jump with a leap of 18-08.00, the triple jump with a distance of 35-06.50, the high jump with mark of 5-07.00 and the 55 hurdles in a time of 7.88. Labreck's hurdle time easily qualifies for the ECAC Championships.
Allison Fereshetian took runner-up honors to Labreck in the hurdles with a top-10 school time of 8.28 while Katherine McGeoghan had a top-10 school performance in the high jump, taking runner-up honors with a leap of 5-05.00.
Vasiliki Papakotsi notched 12-01.50 in the pole vault, which was just shy of breaking her own school record in the event. Angelica Nelligan-Smith also had a top-10 school performance with a mark of 10-08.00.
Jillian O'Brien had an ECAC-qualifying mark of 7.15 in the 55 meters, which is also a top-5 school time. She also took second in the 200 with a time of 25.66.
Robyn McFetters took second in the weight throw with a top-10 school performance of 51-07.75
Maine fell to Holy Cross 91-86.
