Conner Leads Women's Track at Wildcat Invitational

DURHAM, N.H. – Corey Conner won a pair of events and qualified for the ECAC Championships to lead the women's track and field team at the non-team scoring Wildcat Invitational on Saturday.

Conner notched a top-3 school time in the 1,500 with 4:33.93 and was followed by Jennifer Lucy in second with a time of 4:41.39, which is a top-10 school mark. Conner also won the 3,000 with a time of 9:37.87, which easily qualifies for the ECAC Championships.

Mary Fagan won the 400 in a time of 1:00.31 while Mary Scanlan won the 800 in a time of 2:20.14. Ashton Weiler was just behind Scanlan in third with a time of 2:23.71.

In the 100-meter hurdles, Allison Fereshetian just missed an ECAC-qualifying mark, winning in a time of 14.36, which is a top-4 school time while Angela Stakus won the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:08.26.

In the sprints, Jessica McCarthy was second in the 100 with a time of 12.67 while Lauren Roush was second in the 200 with a time of 25.88 and was followed in third by Jillian O'Brien with a time of 26.17.

Angelica Nelligan-Smith led the field events for the Black Bears, winning the pole vault in a top-5 school mark of 10-06.25. She was followed in second by Kathryn Porter who had a top-10 school vault of 9-06.50.

Ashten Hackett was second in the triple jump with a leap of 33-10.25 while Lauren Heulitt and Rylee Rawcliff took second and third in the shot put with throws of 37-10.75 and 36-09.75, respectively.

Katy Grime won the discus with a top-3 school mark of 132-10 and Robyn McFetters took second in the hammer throw with 165-05, a top-4 school performance.

Francesca Lally was third in the javelin with a throw of 108-01.

The 4X400 relay team of Scanlan, Fagan, Roush and O'Brien won in a time of 4:02.99.
