Women's Track Competes at Wildcat Invitational

DURHAM, N.H. – Katy Grime took runner-up honors in the discus to lead the University of Maine women's track and field team at the non-scoring Wildcat Invitational on Saturday.

Grime notched a top-5 school mark of 130-00, to take second place in the event.

Jennifer Lucy was eighth in the 800 with a time of 2:19.19 while Monique Boutin was eight in the 5,000 with a time of 19:24.50. Marybeth Kelson was 11th in the 5,000 with 19:27.60.

Angelica Nelligan-Smith notched a top-5 school mark in the pole vault with 10-08.75 to take second while Marie Dufresne-Dixon was seventh with 9-03.00.

The Black Bears return to action next weekend at home as the University of Maine plays host to the America East Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
