McFetters Leads Women's Track Against Holy Cross
ORONO, Maine – Robyn McFetters (Barrington, R.I.) won the weight throw in an ECAC-qualifying mark to lead the University of Maine women's track and field team against Holy Cross on Saturday.
McFetters won the weight throw with a mark of 54-02.75, which easily qualifies for the ECAC Championships and ranks as the second-best throw in school history.
Jaclyn Masters (Auburn, Maine) won the pole vault with a mark of 11-01.75, a top-3 school mark while Jessica McCarthy (Burlington, Mass.) took second in the high jump with 4-11.00. McCarthy also took runner-up honors in the 55 meters with 7.48.
Ashten Hackett (Auburn, Maine) took the 55-meter hurdles with a top-10 school time of 8.54 and was third in the triple jump with a leap of 33-05.75.
Shannon O'Neil (Milan, N.H.) won the 400 with a time of 1:00.74 while Lauren Roush (Hinsdale, Ill.) took second in the 200 with a time of 26.56.
Ariel McNett (Topsham, Maine) took second in the 800 with a time of 2:27.28 while Ashton Weiler (Rockaway, N.J.) was second in the 1,000 with a time of 3:06.56. Rachel Wilkinson won the mile with a time of 5:18.73.
The 4X880 relay of Wilkinson, Weiler, O'Neil and Corey Conner (Townsend, Mass.) won in a time of 9:48.26.
The women's team was second with 79.50 points as Holy Cross accumulated 100.50 points to win the meet.
