Burlock Named to Academic All-District Second Team

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine track and field standout Lindsay Burlock (Caribou, Maine) has been named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Second Team announced recently.

Burlock was part of the 4X400-meter relay team which took top honors at the 2008 America East Championships. The 4X400-meter relay team then went on to set a school record with a time of 3:48.17 at the NCAA Eastern Regionals. She finished second in the 200-meter dash at the 2008 America East Championships. Burlock finished 29th in the 400-meter dash at the 2008 ECAC Championships.

She earned a spot on the 2008 America East All-Academic Team. Burlock has been named to the America East Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and also been named a Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winner. She graduated last month with a degree in Food Science and Nutrition.
