Black Bears Place Sixth at America East Championships

Durham, NH – The University of Maine women's cross country team placed sixth in the 2012 America East Championships this afternoon hosted by New Hampshire. Carolyn Stocker (Westfield, Massachusetts) took a 16th place finish as she posted a 17:35.26 time.

Stocker led all Maine runners with Annabelle Wilson (Geelong, Australia) finishing 28th, Rachel Wilkinson (South Portland, Maine) 37th, and Kourtney Bonsey (Falmouth, Maine) placing 39th.

The Black Bears had 10 runners compete this afternoon for an overall time of 1:31:37.44 and an average runner time of 18:19.49.

Maine will compete again November 9 as the team will travel to Madison, Conn. For the NCAA qualifier at Hammonassett St. Park.
