Black Bears Place Sixth at America East Championships

Durham, NH – The University of Maine women's cross country team placed sixth in the 2012 America East Championships this afternoon hosted by New Hampshire. Carolyn Stocker (Westfield, Massachusetts) took a 16^th place finish as she posted a 17:35.26 time.

Stocker led all Maine runners with Annabelle Wilson (Geelong, Australia) finishing 28^th, Rachel Wilkinson (South Portland, Maine) 37^th, and Kourtney Bonsey (Falmouth, Maine) placing 39^th.

The Black Bears had 10 runners compete this afternoon for an overall time of 1:31:37.44 and an average runner time of 18:19.49.

Maine will compete again November 9 as the team will travel to Madison, Conn. For the NCAA qualifier at Hammonassett St. Park.
