Women’s Cross Country Competes at NEICAAA Cross Country Championships
BOSTON, Mass. – The Women's cross country team finished 20th of 43 collegiate teams at the NEICAAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon. The Black Bears had three runners place in the top-100 in a field of 283.
Next to finish were Annabelle Wilson and Rachel Wilkinson. The duo finished 86th and 87th, respectively. Both runners finished with a time of 18:59.
Maine rival, New Hapshire took top-honors in the meet with 57 team points. Every single one of their seven runners placed in the top-40. They had two runners in the top-10 and five runners in the top-20, to illustrate their dominance.
UConn and Yale took second and third respectively with team points of 167 and 180.
The Black Bears will now have several weeks to prepare for the conference meet, held in Binghamton, N.Y. That race is scheduled for Nov. 2, slated for 10 a.m.
